Life never seems to be dull once you have a houseful of kids. About two weeks ago, HannahKate ended up with pneumonia for about 9 days. Me being pregnant, I had to keep a safe distance for a while and the highchair ended up being her home for a couple of days. Song decided to take advantage of HannahKate being sick and tried to make her into a cuddle bug. Well, that did not work and Song ended up getting sick as well for 5 days. Jonathan and myself stayed well, just exhausted from all the run-around of taking care of everybody else.
HannahKate taking her breathing treatment from the pneumonia. She was a real trooper with her medicine. 103 fevers and bad wheezing did not seem to slow her down in the least (but the highchair did).
Jonathan being an awesome big brother and amusing HannahKate with her passion for dancing. Anything Jonathan does is the light of HannahKate's world.
Jonathan using his creativity and turning a cardboard box into one pretty cool looking airplane (all by himself might I add). Can you tell who the hero is in HannahKate's eyes?
Finally capturing that gorgeous face of our daughter!!!
And of course, how can we forget about the snow days in Georgia lately. Jonathan had such a blast creating his volcano, sledding down our back hill, and playing with his good buddy Jackson.
And last, but not least, the update on this crazy pregnancy. On Wednesday of this week my check-up concluded that my cervix was already at 2.6. I am just now 23 weeks pregnant and fear that my body will not hold out for much longer (we are still praying and trying to reach the 32 week mark). I already cannot pick up HannahKate much during the day, and really have to watch my activity. Another doctor's appointment is coming up on Tuesday to do an echo-cardio ultrasound on this little boy's heart. Jonathan's heart condition is hereditary and the doctors are preparing in every way they can to keep this baby healthy (and for no surprises). Open-heart surgery will fix anything, just like Jonathan, but to see your child in the hospital is one of the hardest things you have to face. God is definitely in control, and everything is going well so far, but this pregnancy really seems to be stretching us. Our baby boy might finally have a name, but no reveal yet!
