Unique and One of a Kind

Today started out as one of those mornings where nothing seemed to go right. Jonathan had a rough night's sleep and that seemed to continue through the morning getting ready for school. After I parked the car, I found myself praying "Lord, calm me down." We always find ourselves wanting a sign from God about what to do in our lives, but sometimes I think we forget to read it. "God does not tell you what He is going to do - He reveals to you who He is" (Oswald Chambers), it is our job to hang on for the ride. There are so many times I have had my quiet time with God and have found myself saying "that is exactly what I needed to hear today from you, Lord." We are His unique and one of a kind creation, and so are our children, and sometimes through the craziness of life we forget just how precious life can be. I would love to get Jonathan out of school right now and take back everything from this morning, but the separation allowed me the time I needed to hear from our Heavenly Father. Both of our children to us are a unique, one of a kind, unrepeatable, never to be seen again, miracle; and we are the same to our Father in Heaven. May we strive to always step out for Christ and "not be surprised one iota by anything He does for us"(Oswald Chambers). Continue to look for those blessings everyday of your life.
"For the word of the Lord is right and true;
He is faithful in all He does."
Psalm 33:4
