So we were having a fun day... Christina went to a dinner with a few of the mothers from Jonathan's class while I was entertaining Jonathan and Elle at home for a night of chases and pretend food fights. As I was getting ready to put Jonathan to bed, I get a phone call from our social worker (not usually a good sign at this stage). So my heart starts pounding, wondering why she was calling 9 o'clock at night. We'll, the news was awful. The SEO number we received that stated our visa petition for HannahKate was actually for the old I-600A approval and not the I-600 approval! So Kathy wanted us to call NVC and figure out what happened, to see if this was just a mix up. So I called up the NVC and was told that they had not received the I-600 approval and that only the I-600A was in their system. So basically they said that the person who told me on Monday that our I-600 was received and in processing on Jan. 30 was wrong and that the email notification of our inquiry was incorrect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At this point I was about to strangle someone....(normally I'm not inclined to be a violent type... but someone was going to get the full brunt of my anger that night). So before I ended the conversation I demanded that I speak with someone else to clear up why I was incorrectly told something untrue and why the email inquiry was incorrectly sent.... ARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!%$#^#^@%@$!$!#$$#$
Anyhow, after getting a lady at the NVC and Kathy on the phone on a 3-way conference, she finally found our I-600 approval and said that the visa petition had been processed and sent to Korea yesterday. We received the correct SEO numbers and Kathy is now forwarding that information to Korea. Unfortunately, there is now a small chance that the processing time could be longer than our anticipated stay. Best case, they'll get the paperwork by next week, and then finish the Korean paperwork by the 23rd. Worst case is now that it may take 2 weeks for the paperwork to arrive in Korea and could be another 2 weeks to process it. We are still flying out on Wednesday but have been told to be ready to spend another week if things don't go well. Fortunately God is in control and we'll leave it in his hands. If we have to spend another week, then so be it.
Please continue to pray that the last few steps go smoothly and do not hinder our travel plans.
OMGosh! I'm so sorry! But God is bigger than these problems and like you said, it's all in His hands! But oh the frustration! Will continue to pray!
